(aside: how cute is my mom? I asked her if I could steal her recipe "for some friends" and she asked who and I said "the internet!" and she goes "awww you're friends with a computer system!").

 | 11:15 pm - Tomorrow's lunch ^.^
Ok, it may not be greatly interesting, but I tried to make it (relatively) healthy(ish), and kinda nice-looking at the same time lol. I need to bring my cute factor up still though XD
Top part: Pasta mixed with tuna, sweetcorn and mayonaise, with a cheese heart slice on top ^.^
Bottom part: cucumber sticks, pear slices, and some small pieces of chocolate for afters.
Small box on right (to go with main part of lunch): Pakoras, a little bottle of raita to go on them, a shaker of sesame seeds to go on the pasta, and a couple of cherry tomatoes to fill space.
I can't wait to eat my (hopefully) yummy lunch tomorow at work! ^.^

My interest for Gintama sparked back... and I was really happy when I saw that a lot translations and scanlations were waiting for me~ ♥ It has been a year since I last read the manga.
So, I decided to group all the links together to make my life easier, although I have to admit it took some time to get everything ready. D:

This post was made a year ago, but it is now revamped, updated and unlocked so everyone can see. YAY! I've tried to make it as complete and coherent as I could... but if I've missed something, please comment on either post! It's been tagged a few days ago by myself, so it should be easier to locate it now. More information in the said post.
Oh yeah... I didn't include individual chapters (raws) yet... that will come later. @_@
I can't upload any files on my webspace for now, my router hates me at the moment.

thank you all for the great suggestions on my last post. now another question. what types of fillings would other people suggest? like their faves or just ones that they use? cause i really have no idea. i have been just using left over meat in my fridge from the night before but you can use all sorts of stuff, right? anyway, comments are greatly appreciated.

| 09:36 am - i'm stupid, i know. i cant make them!!!!
i dont know why but everytime i try to make rice balls, i fail completely. i cant get the filling to stick to the rice unless the rice is straight from the cooker but then it is too hot and burns my hands. anyone want to tell me what it is i am doing wrong? its very frustraiting

ive been making bento for about a month now and am in a few other bento coms but this is my first post here ^^
this is a really crappy bento i made for brunch yesterday morning, i just /had/ to make one because i hadnt in nearly a month!!! anyways, i have bunny and flower shaped bologna sammiches with mustard in the monkey container, cinnamon waffles and part of a candy bar ^^

Ok so this is my first attempt at Bento!
Its not pretty at all and as all i have are those lock & lock containers not huge either!
It is rice with soy sauce, sweet and sour chicken and some steamed asparagus! tasted lovely!

Top: Beef in Hoisin sauce and egg mayo ( my first attempt with my egg molds utterly failed... thus egg mayo)
Bottom: Rice with Beef furikake, gherkins and nori stars

Yesterday we had an anime meet and the theme was pie and boobies. (its an inside joke, but mooooving on!) Jurry also came to teach me how to make sushi. We made these rolls together, him showing me how it was done and me copying it. And I didnt do half bad!

Yay! Tuna onigiri again tonight, and I remembered to actually take a pic. I only made two triangle ones, and the rest were round. I found a real easy way to make them too. With a dish or cup of water on hand, I start out by wetting my hands and taking a small handful of rice and patting it into a thin sheet. I set it down, and repeat. Then I spoon in a decent deal of tuna/mayo/seasoning mix, put the other thin rice sheet over top, add a little more around the edges, and pat to shape and make it hold together. It is sooo much easier, and more fits in it.
Though I got impatient and didn't wait for the rice to cool enough, so I got a case of the tender red palms :P I also forgot that we have an entire pack of nori in the cubord from when we made sushi....ah well :)
Not a great pic, as i used my camera phone to snap the photo, not even thinking about my boyfriend's digital one...:P
